Alterations of your order at a local tailor

Example: Shortening of trousers or waist adjustment

If the garment requires only a few adjustments in order to fit you perfectly, please visit your local tailor and we will reimburse alteration costs up to 25% of the order value, but only to a maximum of £80.

How to claim your Perfect Fit guarantee:

  1. Visit your local tailor within 20 days from receiving your tailor-made garment.
  2. Make the adjustments needed so your custom made piece of clothing will fit you perfectly.
  3. Pay the alteration costs.
  4. Ask your tailor for a receipt with a short description of the adjustment applied to your garment. The receipt needs to describe the alterations in detail, i.e it is not sufficient with “tailor services” or similar as headline, so please ask your tailor to clearly state on the receipt both what kind of alterations that have been performed and what each alteration cost was.
  5. Take a photo of the receipt.
  6. Send it to customerservice@suitopia.com

The amount will be reimbursed to you as soon as our customer service has processed your case, which normally takes approximately 72 hours.

The following conditions apply for refund of alteration costs:

  • You must email your complaint about your order within 20 days after delivery.
  • Your alteration costs will only be reimbursed if you provide a verified and detailed receipt within 20 days after delivery.
  • Our Perfect Fit covers reimbursements for alterations up to 25% of the order value but to a total maximum of £80.
  • If you e-mail your receipt later than 20 days, but less than 90 days after your order has been delivered, your refund for the adjustments will be reimbursed in the form of store credits, which can be used to shop any available products on our website.

Remakes

On the rare occasion that it is not possible to make alterations on your order, we will produce a remake for free for you. A remake is equivalent to a completely new production of your order.

Follow this process:

  1. Within 20 days from receival of your order, describe why alterations are not possible and send this together with pictures of you wearing the suit to customerservice@suitopia.com
  2. Our quality department will assess your request and get back to you within five working days.
  3. Before we can start a remake of your tailor-made clothing you need to visit your local tailor and re-measure yourself and fill in this form of what changes that can’t be made and why. It is important that you use this form. You also have to update your measurement profile if the measurements are different than your previously submitted. Potential cost of the tailor visit is not covered by the Perfect Fit Guarantee.
  4. Return your custom fit garment to us. Please see the address below. Shipping fees of your return is not covered by the Perfect Fit Guarantee.

  5. After our Customer service has verified your case we will proceed with a remake of your garment.

Please note, a remake means that we will produce a brand-new custom item for you. This will take approximately 3-5 weeks. Remakes are subject to fabric availability. If a fabric is no longer in stock, the garment can be returned for Suitopia Credits. A new order can be placed with an alternative fabric of equal or lesser value, but no additional credits can be provided for an item that is of higher value, nor can shipping credits be provided for a new order.

The following conditions apply for the remakes:

  • The remade product must be of the same model and design as your original order.
  • If you wish to make changes of your remake design and/or fabric there is an additional cost of 20% of your original order value plus price difference for the fabrics. If you choose a cheaper fabric than in your original order, the difference in between is not possible to exchange to any other cost
  • The original garments must be returned to our customer service on below address:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
  • If your original chosen fabric is out of stock, you are free to choose whichever other fabric within the same price range you want out of our stock inventory. Current stock inventory can be found here.
  • Suitopia reserves the right to deny remakes in circumstances where our professional staff consider that local tailoring arrangement is the most suitable option, the products are not in perfect condition, if your adjusted measurement have more than 5 cm difference against the measurements found in your original order, or if the customer does not cooperate with the information requested for the remake.

Returns and refunds

Mistakes do happen sometimes. After all, we are only human. That is why we created the Perfect Fit Guarantee. Since your made to measure products are custom-fit and made to order just for you, they are also 100% tailored according to your preferences and requirements. This means we do not accept refunds. Please note that this is the standard practice of custom-tailored products since they have no resale value.
